Partisan Records is happy to make A Beautiful Thing: IDLES Live at Le Bataclan, available again on vinyl. This double LP set was recorded at Le Bataclan in Paris, France in December 2018. The album features favorites from the critically acclaimed albums Brutalism and Joy as an Act of Resistance plus their devastating cover of the Solomon Burke classic “Cry to Me”. This recording captures the raw emotion, energy, and overwhelming sense of community that exists at an IDLES show.
IDLES have been profiled by the NY Times and GQ as leaders in a movement of new bands tearing down outdated perceptions of masculinity. Their songs are a full-throated indictment of sexism, racism, Trumpism/Brexit, Nationalism, and toxic masculinity.
