Mississippi John Hurt - 1928 Sessions LP
NEW. SEALED.
Yazoo Records
Mississippi John Hurt ranks high among the most appreciated and enjoyed blues pioneers. His totally unique style offers listeners a warm flowing approach with subtle vocals surrounded by gorgeous intricate guitar playing. He's an artist that is totally unique and who created a style not at all derivative of other musicians. Certainly the rich tapestry of early American music of all descriptions that surrounded him from his birth in 1894 in rural Mississippi contributed to his musical constructs, but the amalgam was all his own. Even today, almost 100 years after these recordings were made, they seem to speak eloquently to listeners and continue to provide great listening pleasure.
