Anxious Color LP
NEW. ARRIVED UNSEALED.
Mississippi Records
A compilation of way obscure moody garage and psychedelic rock from 1966-1967, long out of print. Spectral, mysterious, and at times, grim, the music in Anxious Color brings together an eclectic mix of one-offs by groups that we know little to nothing about. Taken from privately pressed singles, long forgotten acetates, and live recordings for small audiences, amongst other limited sources, Anxious Color includes teenage music from Sweden, fuzzed-out pop from Beverly Hills, and lost tracks such as "Leaving My Old Life Behind" by Jonathan Halper. Commissioned for a Kenneth Anger film, "Leaving My Old Life Behind" is one of the two recordings Halper ever made. Includes the gems "Killer Of Men" by The Royale Coachmen, "Gone To The Moon" by The Savages, and "Like Stoned" by The Bohemians. This release also includes one sided insert with song notes.
