The album blends Zevon's signature dark humor and sharp lyrics with a more polished production, featuring tracks like “Reconsider Me” and the title song "Mr. Bad Example." The album earned positive reviews and marked a return to commercial success. This is the first North American stand-alone release on vinyl and is mastered directly from stereo analog tapes by Bernie Grundman.
