Selling To Us
HOW TO SELL TO US
So you have records that you no longer want and you are wondering how to go about selling them? Here's some answers to the questions you may have:
1. What kinds of records do you buy?
We buy all sorts of records, but they do need to be in good shape! Just remember, we only buy what we can sell and we only have so much space. We DO NOT buy 78s though.
2. Do you buy CDs? DVDs? Cassettes? VHS? Reel to Reel?
This really depends on what you have. We are very selective when it comes to these items.
CDs - All CDs need to be in their original cases with artwork. We will not take them any other way. If you look at the CD and see tons of scratches, most likely we will pass on those.
DVDs - We don't buy many DVDs. It's either going to have to be a newer popular movie, or a highly sought after one.
Cassettes - We do buy cassette tapes! They need to be in cases.
VHS - Sorry....no VHS tapes.
Reel to Reel - Not really.....
8 Tracks - Not really....
3. When do I bring them in?
The best time is during the week between 10 am and 5 pm. The weekends are quite busy in the store and it can take longer to get to it.
4. So, how's it work then? Do I get cash?
When you get to the store, you can bring your items to our buy counter. There is a sign above it when you walk in. We will ask if you are looking for Cash or Trade and then we'll take a look at your items while you browse the store.
We look at many things while going through the items. We look at the jackets and albums for their overall cleanliness and any issues that may effect the playability. We decide if it's something we want based on the market and our stock at the time.
What we pay really depends on the items. You do get more if you'd like to trade your items for store credit but we are happy to offer you cash as well.
IF YOU HAVE A VERY LARGE COLLECTION, PLEASE CALL AHEAD. IN SOME INSTANCES WE CAN COME TO YOU.
