Robbie Basho - The Voice Of The Eagle LP NEW
Life Goes on Records
The Voice Of The Eagle Robbie Basho / Originally released in 1972, The Voice Of The Eagle is one of the most bizarre experiments in Robbie Basho's prime. Featuring Indian mridangam player Ramnad Raghavan, the album epitomizes Basho fascination for eastern-tinged arrangements. This is also a vocal album - his singing, which John Fahey described as "strangely compelling," came straight from the heart and soul with no regard for restraint, phrasing or timing. Basho never had mass recognition when he was alive and was almost forgotten for years as Fahey, Leo Kottke and his contemporaries carved their legends.
