They were dressed in caveman gear on the cover of this 1965 LP (their only album) and claimed to be sheep farmers from Australia, but these Brooklyn musicians were actually budding music moguls. Their members had already written/produced the Angels’ "My Boyfriend’s Back," went on to found Sire Records and the Orchard and would produce War and Sly & the Family Stone, too. Their Bow Wow Wow-covered classic "I Want Candy" joins two other Top 40 hits, "Cara-Lin" and "Night Time," plus "Satisfaction," "Hang On Sloopy" (their own song, later a #1 for the McCoys) and more.
