Bicep - Isles

Ninja Tune

Belfast-born, London-based duo Bicep (Matt McBriar and Andy Ferguson) release the deluxe reissue of their renowned second album, Isles, on January 27, 2023 via Ninja Tune.
Isles expands on the artful energy of their 2017 debut Bicep, while digging deeper into the sounds, experiences and emotions that have influenced their lives and work, from early days in Belfast to their move to London a decade ago.
Isles was a global phenomenon, reaching #2 in the UK Album Chart (& vinyl chart #1), #12 on the Billboard Official Dance/Electronic Albums Chart, #2 on the Official Irish Albums Chart, #3 for Belgium, #8 for Germany, #12 for Australia (& vinyl chart #5) and #28 for Netherland Albums Chart. We’ve sold approximately 70k copies worldwide since release. It was included in End of Year lists from The Observer (#7), Billboard, BBC Radio 1, NME (#23), The Economist and more.

Singles from the album like ‘Apricots’, ‘Saku’, ‘Glue’ and ‘Aura’ were all featured in multiple Spotify Viral Top 50 playlists, including ‘Glue’ hitting #1 in the UK. Streams for Isles have now surpassed 131M+.

A total of almost 1 million people will have had the opportunity to see Bicep play live at a festival or live show this year, potentially selling over 100K tickets for 19 headline shows in the second half of 2022. They’ve headlined major festivals throughout this year, including Glastonbury (to over 35K people!), Portola (San Francisco), Primavera (Barcelona and LA), Sonar (ES), Fort Mifflin (Philadelphia) and more.
Deluxe 3LP includes 3 additional stellar B-side tracks. Their global live stream reached over 70 countries across 5 different time zones - incredible reaction to ‘Atlas’, ‘Apricots’ and more from the album
